Sword and Lance show

Well at 0830 I reported to brother Noel for driving duty and fetch and Carry.
With Noel loaded into his car i was given the keys and off we went.
On route arrangements with other former lancers were made for a meet up at the show .
11/2 HOURS LATER WE ARRIVED AT THE NEW BIGGER FRESHER VENUE .
We were greeted by Denis from the Darlington team and Noel was given a tour while i got my models what a welcome.
Walked to the Comp room again a great greeting from Lester Plaskitt of Euro fame and a in depth brief.
I have to say it was refreshing to see a well organized comp and by judging time packed with entries of Euro standard.
Just after that The Lancers started to arrive and Noel and i were given some Geek banter all well meant but it made for a great day old comrades do at a model show cant get any better for me
There was a European feel with guests and languages being spoken.
The Don of Modelling Ken Jones was there.
I meet Ian Macintosh what a nice guy and we discussed a MSC table for next year which he wants to set up so the first corner stone was laid and i signed up with Noel to support and we put the world to right.
I entered 3 bits and got a Bronze for each so i was well chuffed considering the company i was in.
All i can say was i was sorry to miss the last 2 shows wont happen again Great show and a big well done to the Organizers pictures to follow.

This show is a great tester pre Euro for a quick enthusiasm boost the standard as shown very high some nice planes to come latter For Chris B.

Hey Mac,first off,thanks for posting these up mate.Some cracking builds on display!!!
Secondly,nice result on the gongs mate,well deserved!!!Looks like you had as good a time up there,as we did in Poole. ;D Good to see Noel ot and about again,eh?

Dicky Chris thanks guys pity we never had a table up north today great PR Macks heading that for next year and Noel and i have signed up. Always loved the painting of warhammer stuff check this out from the show.

Hi All,

This is the first chance i've had to post, (blinking long weekend) any how.

It was great to meet up with Mac finally and he to was a nice fella. The show is fantastic and the new venue has had mixed reviews but i thought it was Ace. The Comp its been said is the Euro of the north so no surprises that my entry bombed. (hehe) Congrats to Mac!!

I have asked if we could have a table next year and was told it would be no problem I'll have two hats on next year so the MSC table will be next to The Basement table.

More info as it developes.

All i can add is that i had a great day!!

Mac thanks for the show report, looks like all had a good time. Congrats to the gongs as well. Those Russian tanks of yours are fantastic and well deserving of the gongs.
Some great looking models, the KT's are awesome.
