Peanut Butter Jelly Time - 1/32 PBJ-1J Gunship

I can't believe it's been three years since I built HK's B-25J. Now, it's time to embark on a second go-round, this time with HK's B-25J "Strafer" converted to a PBJ-1J Gunship



This thing will be getting the whole hog - Relish resin props, Eduard PE and wheels, G-Factor gear struts (will probably just use the nose), Profimodeller .50 cals, and a Profimodeller PBJ conversion set (we'll see how good it is...). I'm also toying with the idea of adding HVARs slung under the wings, but my mind's not made up on that front yet.

I'm actually building this for a publication - focus is on painting, so I'll be taking it dark during the painting stages and bringing it back for weathering and all that good stuff.

Yep, it's huge! 25" wingspan, just shy of 20" long. Built one back in 2012 so I'm definitely acquainted with the size!



Here's the basic airframe with a few references for size, including the then two-year-old daughter. She's bigger now.

Very cool, luv the B-25 series. Really luv the story about how North American Aviation went out to the pacific theater and told the groups they had to limit how many guns they were attaching. Crews even going so far as to pull the wing lights and adding a .50 cal there. You gotta love t hat.........................
