I recently heard the question from several guys, whether any soviet 70th or 80th cars exist in 1:35. The answer is unluckily no. Thus I decided to tackle this, and produce a resin kit (or a series of resin kits if the first goes well). If done, it would be 3D printed with manual polishing afterwards, then cast in resin. I have the skills and equipment for that, but would like to hear if there's the interest. I also would be interested, if someone would like to cooperate, be it a company or a person. I would be using either a free or a commercial 3d model for the base. Following cars are considered: VAZ LADA-2101 VAZ LADA-2103 VAZ LADA-2104 VAZ LADA-2105 VAZ LADA-2106 VAZ LADA-2107 Moskwitch-412 Moskwitch-2140 GAZ-21 GAZ-24 ZAZ Zaporozhets 966/968/968M ZAZ Zaporozhets 965 Please vote

My vote(s) would go to the GAZ-21 and Moskwitch-412. It should be fairly easy to do several versions of the Moskwitch, simply by changing he grill - there was also a cool rallye versionAlthough not on your list, how about ZIL-111, or ZIL-114?

ZILs are definitely interesting, but were not a regular sight on the soviet city streets The idea is to make a car which could fit to any soviet cold war era diorama from early 70es to modern.

After doing polls in lots of forums and facebook, following vehicles are the winners 1) Shared by GAZ-24 and VAZ-2101 2) GAZ-21 3) Shared by Moskvitch 408/412 and VAZ-2106 I would be starting my work on one of the first placed models immediately, depending on for which of them I get the better 3D model.

After considering the work to do, I decided to start with the VAZ-2101. It is technologically easier to model then GAZ-24, due to flat front, and is also smaller so 3d printing costs would be less, thus reducing the risk. I purchased the following 3d model, and already started to "dismember" it into parts:

It is very early in the process now. But could you estimate the cost of final kits?

Hi, it is quite early, and lots of work is to be done. I however expect it to be around 50+-30 euro. Much would depend on the number of preorders, done by both private guys and distributors. I would of course be offering the kit to the distributors, but I do not know if they would order this...

I just got a professional 3D designer (the original author of the model) committed to prepare the 3D model for printing, and to detail the interior, to make the work for me. I think this way it would be most effective.

....how could i miss this?? Het My vote goes to the Lada. I would love to do a "first Chechen war" diorama, with a Trumpeter T-80 crushing a Lada in the streets of Grozny. But the 1/35 Lada's were missing. Idea shelfed as "dreamproject". But now i read this...

Hi, Lada 2101 is good in progress, I got yet another variant of 3D model from the designer, if it is ok, it would go to prototyping Takes more time to design then I anticipated, but I hope this year.
