Hello all, I have once again visited the Stormtroopers 120mm range of Busts; this one shows a Private soldier of the 42nd Black Watch having a smoke of his pipe in or around 1758 whilst campaigning in North America. I have used Andrea, Vallejo and Scale 75 acrylic paints. The kit is a straight build, very little clean up and very easy assembly. I have more of these lovely little models in my grey army and look forward to painting & posting them in the future. Thanks for popping by. Dennis

Wow! The skin, the red (for me, the most diffucult paint to work with), the overall finish... thats a very fine piece.
Thumbs up!

Thanks everyone, your comments & support are appreciated.
Lucas I too find reds hard to portray, but life for the users of acrylics have been made a little easier since the advent of Scale 75; paints they do actually dry completely matt.
I hope this helps.

Never tried them, my personal favourite are Vallejos and - in some cases - Games Workshop colors. Ill keep them in mind! What helped a lot too especially for bright tones like red & yellow is a black/white priming - saves you a bit of time.

Hi Lucas I forgot to mention that I had undercoated this model with Vallejo Black undercoat, it does make life a lot easiser. Tom it is a great period in history for figure modellers especially having great artists such as Robert Griffing paintings to work from. Cheers lads. Dennis
