Now that the Leopard C2 is done and the F-104 is the only thing on the bench, I'm casting around for my next armor build. Only problem is, lots of things are calling to me!
1 - Trumpeter SCUD
Pros - It's a SCUD with a huge MAZ launcher truck!
Cons - It's a very parts-intensive kit that might drive me mad.
2 - Tamiya M60A1
Pros - USMC Desert Storm markings w/ ERA armor!
Cons - The second I finish it, AFV Club will probably kit this variant
3 - Takom Whippet
Pros - Been wanting to build a Whippet for some time, Devo puns
Cons - It's not very big and I'm on more of a modern armor kick at the moment
4 - Tamiya Type 90
Pros - Tamiya armor, pain-free build, different from the usual stuff I build
Cons - To my knowledge, these tanks have never really done anything
Anybody got a leaning?

Do the SCUD! I love watching others build these types of complex kits.
I've seen it finished and it's very impressive, not your usual run-of-the-mill armor.

I'm with John on this one: SCUD, SCUD! Anyway, madness can have some very attractive aspects.

I won't go with the crowd, I'll back the Type 90. The recent changes to the Japanese Constitution will probably mean these will now seen abroad, at least on exercise. I'm not sure whether the same changes will permit the selling of military equipment to Allies, but if you fancy an armoured "What If..." there's a couple of excuses.
Cheers,
M

There is but 1 choice... the SCUD.
First, it will be at the top if the "You don't see that everyday" category for a long time for a good while.
The cons in 2,3 & 4 are good enough to knock 'em out of the running. The con for the SCUD is a non-issue. Becuase you, like the rest of us, have already gone mad.

If I knew it would make it to completion I'd say SCUD too. Though, that's a lot of kit, and I know you say you easily get bogged down in those...

I'd even be willing to build the Dragon version alongside if it helps influence your decision. Oh my god what am I saying.

I would post the image here but it probably violates certain language rules...

The masses have spoken! Should keep you busy if nothing else...just don't let the spiders nest inside it or you'll never get it finished.
