For specifically planes and tanks? Haven't been building much in the past many years. Use to use Polly Scale flat a lot and one other but I am having a senior moment. I did Future for decalling and washes but it was always brushed on and never sprayed. Been dabling with Tamiya and Mr Color paints the past few years. Love Mr Color paints. So what other things should I look into? I have the FAQ tank book and the Airplane FAQ should be here early next week. Got a lot of ground to make up.

There's a trick someone figured out for gloss that I'm absolutely loving. Tamiya X-22 thinned with Mr. Leveling Thinner sprayed over the model...then immediately follow up by misting on straight Mr. Leveling Thinner. The gloss that it leaves is like nothing I've seen. It's awesome. I absolutely HATE clear coating with Future...may be some climate things at play there for me though, but it is never consistent.
I used a Krylon clear gloss once and it was a great clear coat, but it reacted to weathering. A lot of people think the paints are Lacquer...they aren't..they are enamel...and now I'm suspecting the clears are too, so if you weather with enamels and oils you may have issues.
For flat....Testors Dullcoat.

Marc, I source my Gunze stuff from Sprue Brothers. Seems they usually run a little low on the Mr. Leveling Thinner...at lease when I'm looking for it. The last time I ordered it directly from Japan. It was about $3 cheaper and free shipping. Took about a month to make it here. (They labeled it as perfume for customs, but hey...that's not on me haha).
