I have these two kits in my stash, and most of us know by now the kits are rife with errors. Most of it is in the turret shape, but we also know the tracks are too wide for a KV1s yet OK for a standard KV1.
Now with the limitations of using the turret, I was thinking about doing an odd ball KV1 with the hull, but deleting the turret. Germans captured at least one and removed the turret and made it a munitions carrier. Another had a flak battery mounted ontop it. Maybe a way to salvage a bad kit? Or as an option; maybe modify the turret shape with the Bronco KV1-85 as a model. Looks like a lot of work! Plus I already have the Bronco kit.
Now going back to take another look I find the Trumpeter SU152! Hope it's better. gary

Build them up as they are with a few added details for effect. 95% of the people looking at them won't know, or care. Just my $.02.

You could make a what-if out them if you like that kinda thing.... 46 project ? . The Soviets did use the hulls for recovery vehicles too , lots of options for getting the best out of the kits . Like AFV said ..... I would just build them as is .
