Hi guys, Just ordered my first air brush and compressor..little Xmas present for myself! To keep fumes to an absolute minimum inside the hobby room I wish to get myself a spray booth. Which size should I go for? I have seen two options..one of 30cm x 30cm or a 40cm by 40cm set up. I'm more pressed to go for the larger of the two and just wanted to know which one is more viable. The booth will be used mostly for figures from 54mm to 120mm, the odd AV and diorama. Which size booth do fellow members use? Cheers, Shay

Mine is huge - I built it using a 42" range hood. Wanted to make sure I'd have room for any 1/32 jets that I had to cram in there!
If space isn't a consideration, I'd go for the bigger one. No point in having a booth that won't fit your stuff, no?

I have one that measures 15" deep by 30" long or roughly 38cm by 97cm. I would recommend the 40cm one since that's going to be the best option for that occasional AFV or diorama you might be working on especially if they are in 1/35.

I do not airbrush till now but would go for the bigger solution. Who knows, maybe you are in need for more space some time in the future, and when your space is not the problem, who cares. Maybe you can build one yourself. There are instructions in the net.

Mine is huge - I built it using a 42" range hood. Dupes..you could roast a pig under that!! Thanks for your advice mate and also Bill and Frank. The smaller option was going for 25€ if I picked it up directly from the store..the other was 80€. I've decided to make my own one, after a good look around on the internet I have already seen a few nice examples that should be easy to replicate..oh, and I just bought two tickets for the ACDC concert here in Belgium next year so the costs will be kept quite low!!lol Cheers, Shay
