I found the usually expensive FineMolds TIE Fighter for under 30 bucks!!! Here's the beginning: A great kit, looks to be incredibly fun!

Thanks both! Yes, the red lines are decals, one for each vertical section.

Thank you! It occurred to me this was probably the last original series model for sale in the city if not the state. The new movie was nice, by my heart lives in 1977.

Off to a great start! The Fine Molds kits are still considered the 'gold standard' even though the Bandai kits are pretty sharp in their own right.

Looking good! I was hoping that Revell (who now has access to the Fine Molds molds) was going to re-pop this kit as well...but no luck yet. If they do, the price on Ebay should drop like a rock!

Have heard, the Finemolds FALCON is released by Revell again?? Is that true?? Does anyone remember the AMT Tie Fighters? The Bandai stuff is more than excellent. Guess, I will buy some in Japan, it is much cheaper than here... Good work till now, Delta. How many parts are in there??

Thank you both! The TIE kit had 38 parts including the stand, and about 20 decals, ten of which are used depending on the desired markings.

Thanks Tojo72!
I was just in the hobby shop today and saw a $300 1/72 Millenium Falcon from Disney/Revell and a $100 X-Wing from Fine Molds. I was very happy to see the Falcon had the original series satellite dish rather than the new rectangular one.
