Hello all I am a novice to the hobby and have recently returned to it since my heart attack has given me a new outlook and wanted to find something challenging but not super stressful. My passion is armor and I think I will soon try some aircraft. I originally built models as a young man with my father who was in the U.S. Army and was stationed at Fort Knox and Aberdeen Proving Ground. We built several monogram 1/32 kits and old tamiya kits. Now many years later I wanted to get back into it. I hope to learn from everyone here to get my skills better to tackle Dragon and Takom kits with a nice end product. I have never really shown any of my work because I did not feel it was good enough. However I am sure to learn skills from everyone here to help my get headed in a better direction. Again I thank you all for any support or criticism you can offer.

Thanks I have built a tamiya Jagpanther which is my best one. Todd Michalak said I should try this forum since I posed some questions about Gruppe Fehrmann and a build of that tiger was beefing currently done by BillPlunk. I hope to shadow build this tank as he does.

Hello from the UK c3po!!
And welcome back to the hobby!
As a returning newbie modeller myself (a 25+ year break), I have to say that everyone on here has been really welcoming and more importantly they really have been great at providing lots of comment, advice and support.
So don't be afraid to post pics of your builds or to ask questions.....as you'll see, my stuff is a LONG way behind pretty much every build on here but that has not stopped the other members commenting and the feedback has been invaluable.
So take a seat and enjoy the ride.
Yours
Andrew

I love the Orioles been going to games since Jim Palmer pitched every opening day at Memorial Stadium on 33rd street and followed them to Camden Yards. I was at the first ever rain delay at that stadium. I also loved the Colts till they left. At which time I joined Raider Nation. Nice hat in your photo.

Welcome aboard C3PO
Sorry to hear of your heart attack. Life is too short to live with regrets. I think you will be very happy you decided to pick up the hobby. If you have the time it's a great decompression tool.
BTW, My wife and I recently saw the new Star Wars Movie. It was a blast. Our daughter got us ultra AVX tickets for Christmas.
David.

Welcome to MSC , what have you done to R2 ? R2 and I had a falling out. We were both watching the Stanley Cup slamming oil cans all night and I went to the garage to get more oil. When I came back he used my Cyber Hobby Wittman Tiger for a empty oil can holder and we had a falling out. I mean I love the guy but he needs help.

Thanks David for your kind words. But I have heard everyone likes this movie but R2D2 and I use to do theses pictures for the fans. I am not one to talk bad about friends but R2 lines were read for him by a stand in XBOX One. R2 demise started around the Phamtom Menace. He would drink that synthetic stuff all day and could not work. He was still able to function but some of his close ups were done by an actor in a rubber suit. I thought his wife, the IPone6, could set him straight but no go.
