I'm in! But before I scratchbuild one of these at 1/35, does anybody know if Dragon plans to add this to their line of 1/35 Star Wars vehicles? Building something from scratch is always the best way to prompt one of the big factories to make it a kit. Also....Is there any rumor about Dragon doing a set of stormtroopers? Sculpting and casting my own will be a Pn-In-Th-Ess.

It's not in their crop of current announcements.
I've got some Bandi on the way so I'll jump in at some point.

Yeah, but it is un-funny to choose what to do? Vehicle? Figures? Vehicle with figures? I really have to think! Now it would be cool to have some of the od Knight Model figures at hand, hell!

For those of you that are big into SW and want to see a lot of excellent builds - including a TON of kits you won't see outside of the garage kit community - go here: www.keeperoftheforce.com/Treasure trove of info for you scratchbuild-y types as well. Not to mention a TFA GB going on right now, too. Can't wait until the 1st of February! Holy smokes talk about a good reason to get fired up for more modeling.

Moderator? Me? Uhm... Okay?! Frank - that busts are really hard to get. Its even more possible that its raining pigs tomorrow than to get one of these busts/figures in one week at your home. Dupes - thats really a great link. Bookmarked!

Dupes - thats really a great link. Bookmarked! Indeed..they are out there but prices for a 30mm figure go for 40USD and 70mm above the 50USD mark. Great kits but if you were to add postage costs it's not very feasible. I managed to get a 70mm Gamorrean guard last year for quite a steal..28€!! Frank, I had a quick look for you on various German online stores but didn't have much luck..

(Any OOB kits, Aftermarket parts, Conversions and/or scratch built models are welcome!) Ahhh - so we're limiting this to big-screen models only? Wasn't aware that was the case. That will make some of my choices different for sure.

Knight Models @ German online stores? That was a good one Shay. Not even BattlefieldBerlin - one of the biggest figure stores besides Berliner Zinnfigurenkabinett - has them in stock. For months!

Tell you what....and this applies to anyone looking to join the Group Build....Have at it! If it is Star Wars related...be it in the movies, on paper but never to film, conjured up bizarre, fanatical pipe dream of and alternative world....go for it! I seriously doubt any one having fun with the GB will be upset as it only adds to the enjoyment of the build for all!

It's less "unknown" than "Extended Universe". The EU encompassed comic books, all of the novels written that were set after RotJ (until Disney disallowed all of that), the pre-history stuff, Clone Wars, Rebels...even things that were designed for the movies but didn't make it in.
If we're shooting for episode I-VII only I'm cool with that - just wanting clarification. If it would just be me venturing into the EU then no worries!

Problem with KNIGHTMODELS is, that they lost the STAR WARS liscense so they cannot sell more. AND the 70mm series was limited. I had them all, Marvel and SW, but sold them some years ago. ALL! Stupid me!! And I have checked and rechecked the online dealers again and again, but the figures I was looking for are long way gone.
BUT; From seeing the castings and checking the fit of the parts, the figures aren´t of a high quality standart. You cannot compare them to Alpine or Pegaso!

Could be you just venturing but it shouldn't matter! Again...fun.

This kinda looks like fun. I have a few of the Original MPC kits form the 80s. Might just have to drag one out since there is no end date. Will be a nice little filler when sick of armor.

This looks like a ton of fun. I'm up to my ears, so I won't participate, but I will certainly pay attention to the progress.
