Hi, guys. Working on my Sherman M4a1 76w, I started new build: 1/48 Monogram A-1H Skyraider, "Tour of duty" edition. Honestly, war in Vietnam is a completely new discipline for me, I'm trying to keep myself within WWII frames, but Skyraider is a WWII project. I got this model from my friend by a very reasonable price. Sorry for not started yet Monogram B-26 Marauder, that was announced before.

Gosh, I completely forgot about that TV series Tour of Duty. I used to watch it all the times when I was a teenager!
This is going to be a fun build... count me in!

Hi george!
Joining the front row on this one!
I don't know why but there has always been something I liked about the skyraider, even though it's not a 'pretty' aircraft like the spitfire!
Really looking forward to seeing this one come together!
Andrew

Scratch build engine shatters, flaps thinned and pushing rods for flaps opening added.

Still incomplete? I don’t feel so bad about some of my old shelf of doom projects… Great work on your Sandy!

One of my favourite aircraft that I rarely see built. This should be great.

Hey, no worries. Just call it "round to it" and you're good. Standing by to stand by.

Ha!! I love this. A friend of mine on the open wheel racing forum just completed a Ligier after...7 years. He started his in July of '16 and just got it knocked out. Very cool to see a kit come off the shelf of doom after that long.

Hey guys, it's not my oldest incomplete build - I have one ready to paint since 2008 😊. We need to do something with it...

Just glad to see that you have decided to resurrect your Skyraider after such a long hiatus. It's looking good so far and can't wait to see the finished product. Not only would it be a good subject for a thread, but also maybe a fun GB. I certainly have some candidates.

7 years? Now I don't feel as bad about how long my builds take.
Can't wait to see you complete this one.
