Ahhh, true. That might be one of the reasons I didn't think to use them.

Morning guys,I want to get the base coat sprayed today.I'll be using Tamiya Nato green.I haven't used Tamiya in the AB yet and I need suggestions or tips on how much to thin the paint. Thanks in advance guys.

It has been a while since I used Tamiya paint. From what I can remember I would say 70/30 ratio of paint/thinner. It depends on certain paint since some paint is thicker than others. Just thin until you see how thin it is like milk.

Morning guys! I've been wanting to do a snow camo scheme for sometime now and Russ had a great suggestion. After doing some browsing on the net I found something that looks pretty cool.Let me know what you think. For reference only Thanks for looking,as always ACW. This is a really cool camo scheme Leon... Dupes did a similar one a couple years ago (on FSM maybe?).

50/50 x-20A to paint for Tamiya. If you use alcohol instead of x20 it has a tendency to dry too fast and can give u a furry surface. Can also be thinned with laquer thinner.

Thank you John! I've got the thinner just need to get another jar of paint.May have just enough to do the wheels. Boyd thank you! That would be a cool scheme to see.

Boyd thank you! That would be a cool scheme to see. Send dupes a message - I bet he still has pics of it somewhere he could share. He made a really cool mask, as I recall, to do the scheme.

*cough*...did someone say my name? I found the folder with my Type 90 pics, but there might be some missing. These don't look "finished", but maybe they were? Can always re-shoot if you're really interested, Leon. Oh, and it was indeed on FSM. Quite a while back judging by where I'm taking the build pics. If you take a close look at the dot pattern, you'll see that it repeats - did the math, I think it worked out to a 3x4 foot section (which would be perfect for field applied camo!).

Just realized that the crew dudes are just primed white - definitely NOT finished! Wonder where the final pics went off to. Huh.

Dupes that looks fantastic! I really like it.Thanks for posting the pics. Two questions! What did you use as a template? What did you use to wrap the barrel and front of the turret?
