Great work on the added details. I've always like the rugged looks of these tanks and I'm sure your Whippet will be an eye catcher.

Thanks all, appreciate the kind words. I've been interested int he Whippet since I saw a scratch built Whippet in an issue of FSM back in the mid 80s.
Steve had a sale at Value Gear at the beginning of the new year the "I didn't get s*** for Christmas." Sale. Buy two get one free. Worked out great and now I'm stocked with several sets of stowage.

Hi, New member. Nice job on the assembly. I just built one of these and I was wondering how much trouble you had with the tracks. I had a terrible time with the track section losing the pin on one side and just falling apart when I tried to place it on the model. I eventually ended up gluing it in sections and then discovered that they didn't quite meet. I started at the top and worked around to the bottom so the gap isn't as noticeable as it might be, but still very annoying. I'll try and post some pictures when I get a chance.

The tracks in the Meng kit are not as trouble free as the tracks from Takom. I build both Whippets and clued the Meng tracks an the runnig gear.

Very cool paintjob. I had the same problems with the tracks, the Pins are a Little to short for my taste. Takom got much more better tracks in the kit.

Thanks all! Really appreciate it.
Takom kit huh? If I were to do another I would attach the grousers to the tracks.
