Good evening everybody.
Finally, the StarWars GB begins.
First, Id like to say a big THANK YOU to all participants of the GB and the MSC admins/moderators for making it possible. Im looking forward to your projects, ideas while in progress and of course the results.
My project will be a small one: the Revell SnowSpeeder. Lets see how it will turn out.
See you around.
Lucas.

Show the box! Show the box! I agree - didn't realize that Revell HAD a snowspeeder. Thought it was old AMT and Fine Molds as far as injected kits went!

No problem John. A view in the box. Its a relatively simple kit, and sometimes you may wonder what some details mean - for example that circles on the dashboard. The figures are out of proportion, and the decals have a total wrong color. I dont care, because its SciFi, and theres no such things as wrong colors etc (and I wanted to paint the colored areas by myself - so thats okay). Had it been a FM kit before? Sorry, I really dont know. The positive thing is: FM or not, the details are good in most cases and once completed, it looks like it should.

And he's off! I was toying with the idea of getting the very same kit, but saw it was your entry and as variety is the spice of life I ended up spending twice as much for a kit that's not as good IMHO.

But heck, what scale! Did they do the kit and decided AFTER IT what scale might be correct?? Just wondering, how much work will be needed to prep it up! Remember the Finemolds Snowspeeders in 1.48, just curious how you will work on the Revell kit!

Ugh. Why 1/52? That matches...absolutely nothing.

It matches nothing, yeah. At least my X-Wing has the same scale, had the same issues with the figures there.

This was my favourite as a kid after the speederbike from ROJ! What figure do you have in mind if the kits one is dodgy?

No figure planned so far. Maybe Im going the easy way: Simple base, just presentation of the model.

Nope, Sir, no chance! I hope for some detailed base here. You should not make it so easy for you, Dude!

Sorry for the delay - there were a few other projects on the to-do-list (as always! ). The more Im looking forward to do the Sppeder. I got a small woden base from an art shop around (Boesner), and some small lava stones. They should give a little distraction on the snow base.

Just because this GB is open-ended doesn't mean you can just dawdle about - come on, chick-chack

Nice looking snowscape Lucas, should do the trick nicely for the speeder.
