As my lets get back into the hobby project I chose something easy. It is almost ready for paint - I am just not loving the upper deck, so I am still working on it. Anyone have any ideas for an unusual paint scheme?   |

Looking great! I had so much fun with this kit... I really like your improvement on the periscope. I am with you about the upper deck... it was lacking details so i added some.

Some progress - base coat and one post shade.  I think camo will be along the lines of a tiger shark, with the conning tower in white.  |

I would leave it as-is John...it's pretty sinister-looking with the current scheme IMHO! In the end, it's your build of course...sorry can't be of more help in the template/mask department. I know Kenny Loup (of Gator's Glue fame) also does custom masks for ships, you might drop him a note via his website and/or Facebook and see if he can help you out.

I ordered a Montex mask for a 1/32 P-40 for its shark mouth template - I will see how it looks and make the call then. Should be here Friday.
