Hi all
I don't know if this is of interest to any of you but I came across this article on the BBC website - www.bbc.co.uk/news/in-pictures-35699521
To mark the reopening of the American Air Museum at Imperial War Museum Duxford, photographs of some of those men and women are to be shown alongside some of the aircraft that flew at the time.
According to the article there will also be book published as well called "Somewhere in England" containing a lot more pictures.
Take a close look at the third picture down in the BBC article - and the very large hole in the P47 propeller blade
- which by some minor miracle didn't bring it down......
