This will join the M-60A1 plus on a base when done. I'm bound and determined to get two models on a base that look right 001 by Mark Hartig, on Flickr 003 by Mark Hartig, on Flickr I was going to model it burnt out but it's too nice a kit to do that with I think so abandoned will be the theme Regards, Mark

Great start! I crawled inside one of those BTRs and I was surprised how tiny and cramped it was inside!!! Count me in of course...

You'd need a cave helmet and light to see into that interior once built, but we all know what's in there. Looking good Mark!

Thanks gents Dierk yessir that's why I generally don't waste my time with such things JS if it was going to be a cutaway it'd be different Leon thank you sir Andy must be why most tankers are smaller guys Bill I am too fat for that these days Oz oh hell no Completed the turret only to find out the ring was not large enough to accept the basket floor. An hour or so with a file cured this 001 by Mark Hartig, on Flickr Again, why I did not spend a week on the interior 002 by Mark Hartig, on Flickr It looks acceptable near the M-60. I could not find any Arabic decals anywhere. Looked up Arabic script and perhaps I will be able to reproduce those particular type of pot hooks by masking; we'll see Regards, Mark

Good progress Mark and well done on getting the turret to fit! Good move on not spending too much time on the interior - done a few myself where I spent eons on detailing and painting interiors, only to ask 'where's it gone?' once the hull's closed up.

Gentlemen, thank you all After my most of the day battle with PE only stuff I got a base and initial fading coat on 007 by Mark Hartig, on Flickr 006 by Mark Hartig, on Flickr 003 by Mark Hartig, on Flickr 002 by Mark Hartig, on Flickr Used MM acrylic armor sand, and I'm not so sure about the color as it is. May have to filter with tan or something, any opinions? Regards, Mark

Can't argue with a nice sand color! As for filter/fading, I guess it all depends on if you're going to leave it monotone or add a camo color? Since it's being paired up with an ODS M-60, I'm guessing monotone. Was the Iraqi stuff darker than the US 'sand'?

Bill I am not sure but I think you're correct, also they seemed to have more of a tan shade to them as well
