Thanks. This build was a lifelong pursuit. The whirlybirds was my favorite show as a kid, and fostered my love of helicopters.

Ye Gods, I thought I'd be the only one around here old enough to remember that... My favourite at the time too. A few years later they built a new hospital on the edge of town near my place and it had a helipad next to the perimeter road;great fun. I got blown off my pedal cycle by a Whirlwind that just made it over the fence, kids wouldn't be allowed so close nowadays I think. In those days there was always a fire engine in attendance. Since then the original grassed area has been replaced by a hard standing in a field next to the hospital grounds, the original was pushed to accommodate a Wessex and they needed more room when the Sea Kings arrived. I understand it's just about O.K. for the new Coastguard jobs but they produce a hell of a downwash. A few years ago I was back in the area when the local air ambulance dropped in, turned out it had been a Heer MBB Bo105 PAH in a former life. I managed to get quite a few photo's if anyone fancies something a bit different...
Cheers,
M

I had never even heard of this show. It made for some fun on YouTube. These were done by DesiLu Productions. This was Lucile Ball's production company.
Imagine the power she must have had back then, to pick up the phone, get the president of Bell Helicopter on the line and ask if she could borrow a couple of brand new machines from the factory floor for use in a new "helicopter adventure series!"
"Yes. Of course, Mrs. Ball! How's Ricky these days?"
