Thank you. The Kraut crowd - ready for some paint. Except the left figure and the dog the figures are rebuild - the Italeri kit features an officer and a sailor - I replaced the head of the sailor for example and created another officer.  |

Sunday at work and almost nothing happens on this holiday (its called "day of the workers" here)?! So I was killing time with the 11CV. At least something.   |

Looks like an effective use of the holiday Lucas! May 1st would be 'labor day' here in the US but we had to be different so as not to be confused with all those 'Communist' tendencies in Europe connected with May Day.  |

Im getting older and my eyes played a trick on me. Wasnt this "Clear" I put over the black/dark red two tone colors? I had so much fun to mask it, especially the doors. Oh heck, NO! Its PEARL clear from Tamiya. Of course a metallic paint like this wont fit in the 40ies. Some improvisation is needed. The 11CV is cancelled for this dio and will get a separate one, including some rare EVD figures of Kevin Costner and Sean Connery ("The Intouchables"). Close call. If thats okay for you Im gonna keep the pictures here instead of opening another thread?!   |

I had the same thought, but Im afraid it looks a bit overcrowded when Mr. Costner and Mr. Connery will be glued in place. |

Getting serious. The body is glued, the torpedoes too. Italeri lets it up to you which version of the torpedoes you choose (2 options). I think the propellers of the torpedoes need some scratch work too.  |

The build itself is quite easy indeed - but keep your perfect plastic putty/MrSurfacer ready, because youll really need them - especially for the upper hull and the torpedoes. |
