It appears to have a similar effect on modellers - Hannant's currently have it on Special Offer at one-third off, but even at twenty quid it's been hanging around for a while... Cheers, M

Progress has been a little slower than I would have wanted it to be. The direct reason for this is the imposed sanctions that have been placed on me unjustly and I feel without due cause. Translation: Wife got mad at me. In order to rectify this situation I have been doing more its all about her things. Anyway back to the IT-1. I got the fenders and photo etch parts on the lower hull. These went on great just had some difficulty getting the protective film off of them. This can be attributed directly to my clumsiness. The parts have been fitting together great with no major issues. Thus far I really recommend this kit based on its ease of build. Also if you get this kit you will be well prepared while at a party with friends and some the pretty girl looks you in the eye and asks"You got a Cold War Era Soviet IT-1?"

Sounds like you're holding up well under the current regime there 3PO! One trick you can do with the Trumpeter PE is only remove the front portion of the film, leave the back on. This helps with cutting the parts off the fret as well...no pinging!

Looking good! Amazing that they used just one rocket for this... suppose there were few enemy tanks approaching? I find it interesting...

Also this missile needed a certain distance to arm so unlike the big gun it could not be used for close quarter combat. Sometimes the best drawing board ideas don't work in the real world.

Can't go wrong with a green machine! Keep at it no matter what hand signals you might receive in the future!

I have made progress on the IT-1! I must report I was wrong about there only being enough track lengths per side. I put more in the bag for the second side than the first so the kit does give you more then enough. I got the top coat of paint on and I relly like the green it was a combo of Mig dark green base and light base. I have enjoyed building this because its different and something you don't see very much even on the web.

Getting close to the finish on this one. Definitely has that 'odd-ball' look and feel to it.
