Condolences on your loss Marc, styrene is good therapy for sure, plus you get the glue fumes! Nice to see you making good progress on the Roland and that you were able to make the decals work out...would have been very frustrating otherwise. Got to love those nice 'a' vs 'b' type designations.
First iteration of fuselage paint. LOTS of "F" ups. Too many bleeds to count and the white band ain't supposed to have any black. Hence the description "white band"
Doogs method of a coat of Mr Leveling thinner over Tammy clear, decanted from the rattle can, once again produces a mirror finish. I can't even begin to calculate how long it's going to take doing plank by plank with the Ushci wood plank decals. Each one is cut to length, applied and trimmed for its full length since they are wider than the "planks" on the model. But I think it's gonna be some kinda special when all done.
Set the cabanes with a jig to get the top wing square. Guns mounted. Ready for the final task. So to psych myself up to the task I've been eating a lot of rigatoni... listening to Rigoletto and watching tapes of Billy Jean King v. Bobby Riggs.
Top result! Stupid question alert: how'd you do the attachment points/tensioning thingies for the rigging? Being a wingy virgin I'm going to have to tackle something like that when I get round to my AN-2.
i.gifer.com/6gG.gif You have your way. I have my way. As for the right way, the correct way, and the only way, it does not exist.
