Hi Martin! Looking to what you did to your pirate, overall, I can say you achieved a fine result! But I think you could go far. I like a lot the hat, the tobacco pipe, the general impression of the face, the axe. But I would insist more on some elements: 1. the white blouse. As you know, more of experimented colleagues recommend not to use white, only on extreme lights. You could do more to your shadows. Also some dirt, grease from meals will look maybe fine. You decide what and how much! Here some good advices: www.modelersalliance.com/index.php?option=com_content&%3bview=article&%3bid=215:painting-white&%3bcatid=42:joe-hudson&%3bItemid=682. the neck and the head scarves need a little more variation. And some more matt layout, it seems to me that the colours used are a little glossy. 3. the leather belt need also a little work. Please, look here, hope to help you: twistedbrushes.blogspot.ro/2012/09/textures-leather.htmlSorry for my poor English, I hope not to be upset by my suggestions, but your effort deserves more and I know you'll like the final result. More, you're very active and you're surelly progressing with every work, so every good critique feedback can't be in your benefit, as I know from my small experience. Kind regards, Nicolae
