More progress. I'm adding some extras to the base. There's a lot of people who have seen the film who would never remember this particular design. An iconic screen shot like this is a quick and vivid reminder of what they're looking at.
I've also settled on a name for the diorama.
My one and only reference for the build.
There was also the retractable ladder.
And some landing gear thingy-tubes. There's also a bunch of stuff being patterned in liquid rubber overnight. I should be able to produce casting for the recessed area on each engine pod by tomorrow afternoon. I'll hope to get another update posted by tomorrow night.
