Sorry if I build that bust "under the radar". It was really fun and so far its the biggest bust in my collection. 1/6 scale is really huge.

Warm congrats, Lucas! Indeed, a fine piece for your personal collection. Very demanding bust, a lot of challenging big spaces to be worked. An aerograph in a first phase will help a lot. How did you worked it?

nicusi - Yes, indeed I did a lot of areas with my airbrush, especially the face and the blue scarf. Combined with several washings, it looks far more realistic. The other possibility would be a (wet in wet) layering, but with an airbrush its far easier to create.

The whole bust was primed in black, which makes the metal painting easier too - I painted all metal parts with Vallejo acrylics. These are very fine to paint on, and they allow very thin layers. For the silver parts I used Chrome (77.707) in combination with violet and dark red washings. Very very decent washings of course, i. e. Vallejo colors thinned with lighter fluid.
