Hi, everybody! I began new work for the customer - painting of a series of figures. A subject - Japan, the Middle Ages. Figures are made of metal by the EK-castings company (Russia). The size of figures is 54 mm. Today I finished the first figure - Asigaru with a spear. I painted in game style (at the request of the customer). In line four more figures asigaru and three figures of Samurais. Thank you that glanced also pleasant viewing. Be continued

Great work! The sign should be Aizu clan. Did you know that the had female samurai as well? If you need good literature about Samurai, go for Mitsuo Kures "Samurai" or Stephen Turnbull - these are really good books.

If you need good literature about Samurai, go for Mitsuo Kures "Samurai" or Stephen Turnbull - these are really good books. Many thanks, Luсas! The customer doesn't need the historical truth. He needs a spectacular figure. Therefore, I didn't begin to adhere to exact similarity to "Red devils" of Naotak's Ii at a lock siege Osaka in 1615. Before work I have studied S. Turnbull's books, "Sakigakhara.1600" (New soldier, No. 177), "Asigaru. Infantry of samurai armies 1467-1649" (New soldier, No. 65), "Samurai.200-1615" (New soldier, No. 29), "Samurai.1550-1600" (New soldier, No. 49). About the book Mitsuo Kures "Samurai" I didn't know. Many thanks that have shared. I will try to find her.

Many thanks my freinds! AG - these figures not of high quality. It is difficult to work with them. You will see on the following figure as far as they aren't good. I don't love 54 mm Better - 75 mm or 90 mm. Wouter - Leave time for a hobby!

Looks like you're making good time on the series even if the quality is a little uneven. Nice work Martin!
