Looks like a busy day in the paint department! Sounds like the perfect circle-scam with the hearing guys, just go in with an ear trumpet next time and shout random phrases loudly! Not that busy - managed to fit in cutting several metres of shrub hedge down from 3m to 1.5m - I'll know about it tomorrow. It's not just the hearing guys - nobody in Europe pops more pills, has more knee-ops and hip-replacements than the Germans, and you would simply not believe how many chemists (drugstores) they have here... Thanks Martin any Guy ! Painted the metal and rubber bits - pictures soon.

Cheers Leon! Well, I had another go at getting some modulation into the paintjob - but, of course, I forgot to include the tail thingy in the session and ended up having to go over the whole model with some heavily diluted 3B AU to try and unify it somewhat. Pinwash, bit of dry-brushing and here's where I'm at (tail thngy and mudguads are still only dry-fitted): Onward and something-or-other. Thanks for taking the time to have a look and ACW.

Coming along nicely Dierk! I can only imagine how cramped that turret must've been for the gunner/commander...not exactly a ton of room to start with and with the angled positions on the MG and main gun, I bet he bruised his elbows on a regular basis.

The ridin' coffin looks mighty fine, the figure shows how small this babytank is.

Exactly the reason why the twin MG setup never went into production, I suppose.

I can see the result of your oil dot filters Dierk, it looks as it should look, subtle.
The headlight wiring is a great little touch !
If I'm not mistaking you still have to paint the machine gun in the turret.
Grime, fuel spills, muck...can't wait to see it appear my friend.

The wiring for the horn cost me a 0.3mm drill but it was worth it. I had painted the MG, but more paint flew since, so I'll have to do it again - well spotted though. I'll have to call you EEG from now: Eagle-Eyed Guy

That's looking very nice dierk, love the weathering. Will be watching how you do the base and what on earth that big bolt is for.

Cheers Leon! That's looking very nice dierk, love the weathering. Will be watching how you do the base and what on earth that big bolt is for. I was going to keep you in suspenders about the bolt bish - not that big BTW, it's only M6 - it's to lock the model in place (I've drilled a hole into the lower tub as well) Did that for two reasons: it stops the model from 'floating' on the ground-work and lends the impression of weight, secondly it'll be off to the modelshow in Tula and I want to give it the best chance of surving the various hands it'll go through on the way there. The veneer I found was very old and brittle from being bone dry, so I dipped it in boiling water and carefully bent it around the corner of the base in the steam of the water. Glued it in place and clamped it overnight. Unfortunately, one of the clamps was dirty and cause a horrible black stain that soaked right through. I'll be making a plaque to cover it. I had a piece of Mini Natur ground mat that was very nearly big enough for my porpoises, then put the first layer of mud down where the tracks have churned up the vegetation. The mud I used is a Wilder product - the plastic bottles he uses have struck again: the product had completely dried out. Hacked into it and added (too much) water to reactivate it (BTW the glossiness will go, mud was still wet when I took the pics): I'd like to add a tree, but can't see that surviving the journey to Russia. More mud, track tracks and pigments to follow.

Glad you're liking it PJ!
Well, I've dusted the windscreen, just need to attach it and paint and glue the wiper. Haven't painted the ammo box, seems churlish to break out the AB for something that small, so I'm waiting for something else that needs German grey. Mainly I want to get this T-18 done so I can send it off to Martin - clock is ticking, and the mail to Mother Russia can be slow.

My apologies I forgot "you're on the clock" on this one.......... No need to apologise, I do have a habit of leaving stuff 98% finished and then getting side-tracked by something new and shiny...still haven't finished the '250 or fitted the MG to the Panther...

Cheers Leon, I'm keeping you busy today - here comes anoooother one! Just need a plaque and glue the map in place and it's done! The Masterclub figure is supposed to be reading a newspaper, and a very nice resin rendering of one is included, but my painting skills aren't up to making it look like printed paper, so he got a map of Moscow and the surrounding area instead. I think it turned out rather nice - I'd go as far as saying I'm 98% happy with it, well, Ok - 95% Without further doodah, pics: Well, you know the drill: all comments good, bad, but not indifferent welcome.

Thanks Andy and PJ - I'm glad you like it too! BTW, the groundcover isn't by Mini Natur as stated earlier, but by Model Scene.
