Thanks dierk and Tojo. And Tojo: I don't know, but it can't hurt. I had finished attaching the landing gear and was placing the pitot tubes on the top of the nose and the nose gear folded like a lawn chair. I was trying to be gentle with it, but it didn't matter.

Mmmmm...quite nice! I'd love to grab one of these, but the price is killing me. Shoot, the price for just about any of the new 1/48 jets is bordering on ridiculous.

What's the street price these days? I bought this one on eBay for $55, which is great value considering how good the kit is.
Edit: looks like $70-80 now. Still seems like a steal next to something like the Hobby Boss Su-34...

Very nicely done, mrun. The finished product is impressive, especially the underside. BTW, what color did you use for the weather stipping on the canopy?

I mixed something up myself. It's basically pink so I mixed some Tamiya red and white together, then added a tiny amount of yellow to it.

I appreciate the reply. I stumbled upon some MM flesh color that is really close. I will see how it goes when the time comes

Yeah. Given how ragged some of these Soviet aircraft can look after a few years of service, I think "close" is more than enough.
