After the long Roland build I wanted to do something quick and easy. Saw a review for this not too long ago and it happened to coincide with an Amazon gift card I couldn't decide what to do with. 1st 1/72 Eduard Spitfire for me and the build and part layout was almost exactly the same as the Mk. VIII I did not too long ago, Including the things that bugged me like the upper engine cowl being 2 part and a seam that has to be fixed and loose the extremely fine detail molded into the surface. Still and all it builds up to a nice little Spit. Got this far a just a few days. Never painted invasion stripes so I'll see how that goes.

Thanks Joel. If the hurricane remnants hit NJ like they say I may get 'er done this weekend. Peeled all the tape last night, one of my favorite milestones in a build, and was very happy to see only some minor touch up to be done with the stripes.

Great looking model. You could've neglected to mention the problems with the invasion stripes and I never would have known. Really nice weathering, too.

A sharp looking build Marc. Ya need to have at least one aircraft in the case with invasion stripes. I wouldn't worry too much about the stripes. A lot were painted quickly and by hand.

Very nicely done Marc. One of these quick builds sometimes makes it easier to plow through a larger scale very intense build. Paint and weathering turned out great.
