Not really up to speed with Vallejo, AK, Ammo, etc..........all the new fancy stuff. Was reading some of Doog's things where he likes their Matte Finish. I see a couple Vallejo Matte options; 100# Acrylic Resin and a Polyurethane version. I've used Tamiya and Mr Color stuff and like them both. But Acrylic Resin vs Polyurethane? Say what?

Not all that fancy Jim! In terms of standard Matt finishes from Vallejo, 70.520 (17ml..73.540 60ml) is pobaby your best bet to start with. There is a Matt Medium which is thicker and can be added to paint, or pigments...thinned to AB as well (70.540). In both cases, these are Acrylic Resin. With the Matt Varnish, I will thin probably 50% with Airbrush Thinner and dust on a couple coats to get a flat finish. There is the Polyurethane Matt Varnish. This is part polyurethane and part resin. It works pretty much the same, however, this is not part of the typical line carried by most hobby shops...but they should be able to order t easy enough. (26.652) It comes in 60, 200, 500 and 5 liter containers...lol...not sure who would need 5 liters, but what the hey More or less, without going into chemical breakdowns that really does not matter to most, both the polyurethane and acrylic varnishes are water based and "has the superior resistance of polyurethane and the ease of application of water based products. U.V. Resistant." All of these will dry to a dead-flat finish.
