Seems to a well liked combo, but then my thinking is you no longer can do wash that have odorless thinners in them, right?

Odorless thinners as in enamel washes? You should be fine. As long as a solvent based acrylic like Tamiya (clear coat or otherwise) or a water based acrylic paint is dry and better yet cured, there should be no interaction when applying enamel or oil washes. The same works in reverse if you paint with enamels and use acrylics over them.

Agreed. Should not be a prbblem. I've done it without issue. It's not the thinner... it's the paint that will have issues with the wash. Once dry the thinner is gone leaving just the acrylic.

Thanks, now that I think about (maybe my bike ride cleared my head) it makes sense.......thinner is just for delivery and it evaporates leaving the paint.
