# 2728 M24 Chaffee Engine Compartment 1/35NEW from Verlniden I won't go into the history of this tank since the new Bronco kit was reviewed here on MSCF. This lovely AM resin engine compartment set from Verlinden is intended to be used in the new Bronco kit. The review of the kit can be found here. modelerssocialclub.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=miniart&action=display&thread=1155An interior set for the Bronco Chaffee will be released in the next week and from my source at Verlinden insures me that both the interior and engine compartment will be compatible with one another, sharing the same firewall for a sure fit. I/we have the pleasure to be the very first to review this new item from Verlinden, and I hope the interior set as well. Since this is a new item the box that I received did not have a label with image of the set. So lets look at what we get. Although I can't say how accurate the set is as I am not an expert on this vehicle, I can say it looks the part for anyone wanting to go to town on a Chaffee. First off the box and bagged resin parts. A look at the two sided color instruction sheet showing the parts and locations. Here we have a parts layout. There is some flash on the resin plugs but this is very thin and the parts are quite clean of flash. Here we have twin motors and a transmission with some very nice detailing. Conclusion: I hope to have a build review of this set and the interior in the near future. After close study f the parts all seem to be in good order with no air bubbles or partially cast. The resin is the standard Verlinden resin which sands and glues well but most important the primer and paint adhere well after a good washing or all parts. A must have for late WWII US armor fans.
