I recently purchased a home and we are starting to pack. The first thing my wife wanted me to pack was my modeling area (paints, tools, etc.,) because she wanted the area to keep boxes full of belongings. I hadn't worked on a model for about a month prior to packing. Now I'm going crazy. When you have it laying there and you can sit at your work bench anytime, you take it for granted, but now it's all packed up and I can't get to it, I'm flipping out, I want to work on a model so bad. When we get moved and I get my new work area setup (I have a room just for modeling! YAY!) I will post some pics. Please pray for me I'm going through withdrawals.

I have a feeling you will be occupied awhile, probably take some time to get back to the bench.Home ownership is great, but there is still lot more to do. Congrats

Best of luck on the move! Never easy not being able to get to your stuff when you want too! Keep thinking it is all for the greater good! Enjoy the new digs once you get settled in!

Isn't that always the way? You never want it until you can't have it!

Thanks Deafpanzer. I had to sell 2 of my cases because they wouldn't fit. One of them was pretty large and I had my Darth Vader and General Grievous and my light Sabre hilts in it. Now the hilts are in the drawers in the bottom of these cases. On a pretty cool note that shock trooper helmet I number 3 of the set. First helmet released to the public.

Welcome to Nirvana...... you now have a reason to build a "mobile model kit"...... whole thing cost probably 20 bucks. I used oak slats to separate up an old camera box I found in my basement doing nothing, and went to Ocean State Job lot and bought the yellow toolbox. Aside from an air compressor (I have one anyway) its all I really need weather at home and upstairs with the little ones, or at work on an overnight. I brought it to the AMPS Armorcon last year and used it to fix a couple kits people had gotten damaged in transport (including my own)

Thanks fhvn but this is a ranch with no basement and I don't go anywhere on business and if I were take a model on vacation my wife would kill me. The travel box is a great idea for taking kits to shows but I lead too boring a life to need one.
