Good evening, every year, our local Games Workshop invites painters & gamers to the annual "Armies On Parade". The goal is to create an army of choice, big or small. A friend of mine "forced" me to participate as well next year, we talked a lot about his project (he will do Catachan jungle fighters). I decided for an army of vampires, including crypt flayers, grave guard, vampire gueard skeletons etc. - its gonna be BIG. So far the plan, Im gonna keep you updated. Lucas. No big party without sexy ladies:

Yeah, this will take all year I guess. As I mentioned before, the base is meant to fit exactly in my shrelf, with little space left & right. As almost always, the base itself is painted in black. Sorry for the bad picture, better ones with more details will follow when we have daylight again. I tortured my airbrush a lot this evening to give the surface and the ruin the right look, including some green as well (= moss).

Many thanks.
The axe blades need a lot of layering and for the detail painting a 3/0 brush or smaller is very useful.

Diorama on fire! A small flickering X-Mas candle has been scrapped. The white LED got some Tamiya red as well - later there will be plants etc. over the cables. Looks like that right now: www.youtube.com/watch?v=nvOR202p-C0

Now that the Nautilus build is complete, Im gonna continue here when I feel the need for small in-between-projects. Two new additions - a musician and a standard bearer.

It's always confused me why manufacturers keep making Skeleton trumpeters when they ain't got no windbags to blow the damn horns! Fortunately it's easy to scratchbuild drummers for skeleton unit command groups, and keep brass, woodwind and bagpipe stuff for zombie regiments.
Cheers,
M
