Here is my rendition of Stormtroopers 120mm resin figure of Lt. Col.James Galbraith holding the Regimental Colour just before his death at defeat at Maiwand Afghanistan on the 27th of July 1880. It is produced by the English firm Stormtroopers and was sculpted by Maurice Corry. When I served in the British Army my unit was the Duke of Edinburgh's Royal Regiment (Berkshire and Wiltshire) the decendants of the 66th of Foot. If it was possible the Regiment always staged an inter-company sports day to remember the defeat at Maiwand, these were usually great days culminating in an all ranks dance and sometimes a a coulple of small punch ups. Afghansitan is again a battlefield for the British Army and other armies with the decendants of the 66th and the Duke of Edinburgh's Royal Regiment, The Rifles, seeing action on a large number of ocassions in that far off land. The model is well cast and goes together well with the minimum of filler used and comes with a metal sword handle and some wire for the colour ropes. I ditched the kits colour rope tasells and made my own out of wire. Once again I have used my favourite acrylic paints from Andrea, Vallejo and Scale 75. I used my airbrush to apply the uniform base colours as it was a large area to cover. The only drawback with this model is it took so long to complete, I am not used to working in this large scale, but as soon as I saw this figure on the Stormtroopers stand at Euro-Militaire 2015 I as an old Farmers Boy had to buy it. I hope you enjoy and thanks for popping by. Dennis

Hi Dennis!
From what I've seen (too bad the photos are so small!), you did a great job. And the scale didn't make you problems. The Stormroopers are good quality products, so I guess you enjoyed the project. Cheers, Nicolae
