Simply outstanding detailing. It's going to be one heck of a looker once it's done. Love the marbling.

Coilin,
its a mix of airbrush and oil wash (black, white and brown). I pllied the oil with a small sponge.

Happy new year!! ;-) Holidaybreak and my other project kept me busy. But yesterday I managed to go on with the Shadow. This step is going to be the electronic bay (former bom bay). Its going to be complete scratch. The stuff (electronic devices) were casted and copied, so now I have enough to fill in the space. Collin, oil/sponge. Its easy. Take a bit of the color your want and put some on a card board. Then take a small piece from a kitchen sponge, slightly dip it into the oil paint and dab it on the kit. Just small patches. Vary a bit with the color (add white/or black). You can blend it with a brush or remove it with a terpentin damped cloth. Anyway, I will post some photos. Here the Viking. Thats how it should look. Thats my wip Dirk

Started scratch building the front AN/APS radar scanner. There are not many reference photos. I asked Lockheed, who always helped me with some photos in the past, but in this case...not. Well, anyway using the photos and drawings I found on the internet I tried to replicate it as best as possible. The scanner itself is attached with Maskol to the mounting to see if it fits. I think that should be ok. Still some wires missing and the mounting for the radome. Dirk

When that egg hatches will it be a baby HARM to shoot at the radar site?

Truly some stellar stuff here my friend. Not often you see this kind of dedication to something that's not sexy like a fighter. Really cool. Can't wait to see this one all done.

Really incredible work. FOD covers look great. Maybe just a bit more of a curve between the straps to give it that stretched look.

Really incredible work. FOD covers look great. Maybe just a bit more of a curve between the straps to give it that stretched look. Thanks for the tip. The curve is prominent, but from the angle the photo is shot, you don´t see it very well.
