I already reached the stage where I put the paint on. Therefore these following pictures try to give you a wip-overview what has been done already. All panel lines were redone, because the ones from Italeri are too wide and deep. The radar dome is cut away and will be displayed open (scratch build radar will follow). The wings and the fin will be folded. To get a view on the radio operator workplace I cut open the top ejection seat exit. It can be replaced so that its closed. The electronic bay (where normaly the bomb bay is, will be equiped with details. To achieve this project I needed to use some aftermarket parts: 4804 S-3B Viking bomb bay, wheels bays from Goffy Model 4803 S-3B Viking cockpit, electronic bays, crew door from Goffy Model Decals Aeromaster 48-551 48697 S-3 Bomb bay from Eduard 48696 S-3 exterior from Eduard 48156 S-3B detail set from Eduard 48698 S-3 undercarriage from Eduard 48066 S-3 Wing and fin folds from Paragon WP48130 S-3B Viking OIF Update set from Wolfpack R033 Weighted wheels from Royal Resin (-> I might switch to 3D printed ones) 48006 S-3 Viking landing gear from SAC 26001 A-10 Detailset from Italeri (-> here I just need the engine) For the diorama I got some stuff too. But still not decided what to use. I will just present the photos here. I hope they are self-explaining. If not, feel free to ask. Engine taken from the Italeri A-10 detail set. The Viking and the A-10 share the same engines.

Dirk, that interior is amazing. Beautiful work. The preshading really makes a difference in the base paint too. Very nice!

Dirk
Out of interest, aside from the main fuselage and wings how much of the original kit is actually left? Just curious. It does look very good though. Keep it up!

Andrew Andrew, the engine nascelles are from the kit. But besides from them, the fuselage, wings and canopy...everything else is aftermarket. Thanks! Dirk

Man that is some great work. With the cockpit covered and painted black, it looks like an Orca. LOL
