Color scheme: TBA. Why TBA? Well, I always wanted to do a desert camo Tornado. The main problem is that theres no GR.1 version of the very beautiful kit, theres IDS and GR.4. Maybe it is possible to rebuild it to a GR.1 easily? Youre maybe smarter here. And here a bit of luck came in. I found a great decal sheet from XtraDecals (X48171), which features a 25th anniversary of Gulf operations in Lossiemouth 2016. WOW! I really hope the owner of my favourite shop can get me these. Besides, the Tornado will get some add ons like PE etc. I heard that some IPMS guys had issues with wishy washy details, not me so far. As far as I can see all details are clearly there and for 25 € its a bargain (fo comparison: the smaller AMK Kfir C2/7 cost me 10 bucks more). Never mind, that kit is beautiful as hell. One thing to keep in mind is the unusual conception of its belly, it consists of several parts and a bit of precise prework is useful. Plan B if the Lossiemouth decals arent available is the OOB scheme (No.41 Sqn, Coningsby 2011).

Too cool! I find it ironic that I have been collecting WWII shoulder patches like crazy for last two months and now you have one. LOL
Great work on the seat by the way!

moramarth: Indeed - thats the first source where I found them. deafpanzer: Uh, now I have an Alanis Morisette song in my head. Ouch! This is btw not the end of the PE line regarding the seats. The represents only page 1 of the instructions. The side panels and instruments will be a mixture (because I only got IDS PE). Anyways, its VERY much building fun so far. Any idea what fits best for the desert pink?

Tiger - seat looks fantastic. Funny seeing this as I just got the bug to get back into aircraft. I usually like 1\32 but wanted to do a Tornado for years. I just ordered Revells Tornado GR.1 in 1/72. Ill be tuned into this watching closely.

Welcome to the WIP.
Been some years that I had the 1/72 in my hands. As far as I can remember, those still are very great kits, arent they?

Thank you. Of course the last days were a bit hectic, so I could only do minor works here and there. But so far the cockpit is coming along quite good, with only minor reworks to do due to small fitting issues (which really are ok).

Happy new year everyone. Finally had some time to glue some additional parts. So far, the main body parts are glued together and it finally looks like a Tornado.

If you like the shape, you gonna LOVE that video. You never can learn enough, for example that the pilots used MCs for their cockpits. Remembers me of driving my first car (Golf Mk. II) with cassette radio back then in 2000. LOL. www.youtube.com/watch?v=hBUyBF1AgUI

Taking shape nicely Lucas! Easy to forget that technology has advanced a lot in a relatively short space of time when it comes to aircraft!
