So I'm gonna be blaming all of what is abooot to be written squarely on wbill76, (this is a LOL HA HA HA). See he graciously sent me a set of PzIII wheels, which I am going to be using on my current project....mind you this current project is NOT a markIII. So once I got these donated parts from bill, which in our PM's I totally forgot to ask him if I could reimburse postage.....again not my fault..LOL HA HA HA. So if we stopped the story right here, I think we would all agree that Bill's gesture was pretty darn cool, helping a fellow modeler, RIGHT... Well hold on, keep the judge and the jury right where they are......
So I get the wheels, life is GREAT....... This gets me thinking..... you know....modeler stuff. So I pull out some extra "library reading" materials, all Panzer III stuff. This gets me day dreaming more.... Now since I only build 1/25th scale, this got me really thinking "could I", "what about tracks and wheels"..... So this then leads me to go online, no not porn, well not this time anyway.... Now there is a bunch of 1/25 guys in Poland of all places, well sure enough they cast PZIII tracks and wheels, even Ostketten tracks..... WELL DAGNABIT guess what I decided HAS to be my next stinking rotten project....... That's right, THANKS BILL it's all your fault........this will teach you to be nice......
So this then leads me to my new quest.... I am looking for a decent 1/35th scale Panzer III lower and upper hulls. I just want to BORROW them to take measurements, get angles, you know reference "in hand", something 3D to get my bearings on, so I can scale up to 1/25th scale. Now those scoring at home are no doubt asking..."why the heck don't you just buy the dang kit". And this is a fair question. The answer is I don't need another stinking rotten no good 90.00 dollar 1/35th scale kit sitting in my collection that after this build WILL NEVER and I do mean NEVER see the light of day again.
Now beggars can't be choosers.... I would graciously accept any PZIII hulls. So if you are willing, I would be very grateful, although as we have learned, my gratitude WON'T keep me from mocking or blaming the said donor in future postings.......
So I just have to add for those that were not issued a sense of humor, wbill76 was very generous, and I am very grateful that our online community has such people who contribute and do so with a smile on their faces...... Bill THANK YOU AGAIN
