Hi all. I was dwelling for several days on which 1/32 scale kit to delve into. While staring at the stash for days and contemplating a huge F15 or F4J or Zero, this started to bark at me...........or was that the voices in my head......Ill go with the voices So next on the bench: WooHoo a Spitty Bob

Joel - Its ON! Andy - I agree.....why not! Rick - Will do, and the boxer image is awesome. had three myself. So all un-boxed and we have a mound of plastic..........WooHoo I decided to take the front office in stages as there is a bunch of stuff. So the first parts were primed with Vallejo black primer and allowed to cure. Warning to all. I got the Hataka paint set for this to try as I mainly adhere to Vallejo acrylics. personally this stuff is horrible. No matter how thinned or what its thinned with it does not spray well at all. Stuff is really goopy. Sad as the color matches are great for the RAF colors. Got to work in the IP And got some of the front IP assembly done. Some washes to follow. Back to the bench Bob

Stunning build brother. Thanks for the heads up on the Hataka paint. It's what I've been hearing elsewhere about it. Great color matches....a b**** to apply.

Thank you gents, sorry for the delay in posting but unfortunately I got laid off at work. I have intermittent time at the bench but have made some progress as its been good therapy for me. CP has been finished: Got the CP in place and closed the halves up. Fit is perfect as expected from Tamiya: Wing assembly was next: Wings mated to the fuselage and again the fit is absolutely perfect Stabs, rudder and ailerons attached Engine was next and man this is a kit in and of itself. the level of detail is nuts. more engine parts are awaiting assembly then work on the fire wall and tidbits. Hopefully some shots will be up shortly gents. Bob

Geez Bob, sure hate to hear of your lay off. Will be hoping a quick resolve and a greater opportunity presents itself soon.
In the meantime, your Spit is coming along beautifully. Office is looking mighty fine and I'm really liking the crisp detail on that engine. Rick

Bob, beautiful build and finish. I understand the frustration with those decals. Shame Tamiya can't finish off their kits with a decent set. She looks great!
