Dang, son..I've been away a bit. Lack of mojo for close to three months probably. I've tinkered here and there on my B-17, but nothing substantial. Finally got the mojo flowin'. My son's been after me to build this and the other SW kits I have, so I started this one. Not much to report. I did do a lot of gluing despite the click-fit design and sealing seams...because WEATHERING! Kit is great though. Interior was painted with MRP Dark Gull Grey, or whatever that US modern interior color is called. Brushed some details with Vallejo. Wash with Ammo. After I finished up here I went ahead and primed up the exterior with MRP primer. I like their primer. It's thin though, so may not be the best option if you need microfilling action, but great for a black base. I've already begun painting fun, so I'll be back with some updates on that sooner than later. Thanks for checking in. Missed you guise.

Nothing like a good off the wall build to shake up the mojo.

Got the painting done. I tried something a little different by going with a darker grey for the marble thing on the black base. For that I used MRP Ocean Grey. I went over it with a lighter grey blend coat (MRP Traffic Grey). It worked, but I don't know that it was necessary to mix colors unless I was going for something more in-depth with other shades, but meh..I want to finish this. I've been informed the chin gun is upside down, so I've got to figure out how to fix that.

Niiiiiiiiiice! Of course I love any SW builds that have been done well.
Looks like your servo drivers and power calibrators might be installed upside-down, though?

Fantastic job Jim! Banging a little something around for fun is the best!! LOL....Sorry, just read Dupes comment...and reflected back on the comment from FB about the gun being upside down...looks like your picking up a bunch of points form the Star Warsy types! Still looks cool my friend!! Thanks for sharing!

Picked up this kit at the AMPS Nats this past weekend. What a nice easy build, all parts fit together without glue and barely any clean up. Might prime her today.
Love your interior painting so far. Looking forward to seeing the finished model.

LOL....Might have to change the name to 'Starmod' soon! I think Jim actually did finish it...he might have forgotten to update the thread. I know he has some pics on his Jim's Models FB page somewhere.
