Hi all, been busy with this little vignette for a while now. I was inspired by a picture from Panzerwrecks no 3, in which a heavily camouflaged Hetzer is seen in a place called Schwarzbach on the border of Austria and Czechoslovakia. The Pz Jg Abt 553 surrenders to the 26th Infantry Division. I recreated a part of the shed with blue foam and the roof from Evergreen plastic card. The Hetzer is from Tamiya, updated with some PE from Aber. The rear wheel is from SKP models and is a feature of late type Hetzers. The figures on the Hetzer are heavily converted figures from Miniart. The commander is from the brand CMK. Other figures are from Alpine miniatures. The picture as seen in Panzerwrecks. Hope to start soon on the painting process!!! Thanks for watching, Cheers, Rob.

I really like the composition of your dio. Can't wait to see it come together further.

Rob
A very nice idea indeed. Are you going for the full camo effect, or a 'cleaner'version to show off your work?
Looking forward to seeing this come together.

Thanks you very much for your replies!
@andrew: I'm doing a hard edge scheme on the Hetzer. But I'm going to try to do the camo as well. I have some special moss for this, but it's going to be difficult to create a realistic camo with the branches!
Cheers,
Rob.

So, it's been awhile since I posted here! Been busy painting the Hetzer and adding the camo. Finished painting the building and working on some figures right now. I will post some pics of that soon. But first the Hetzer: I applied a hard edge camo (Skoda factory style) with help of some Tamiya tape. The branches are a kind of moss from the Eiffel, Germany, that look just like little pine tree branches (delivered by my modelling friend Erik Gideonse [check out his work, its awesome ]). Painting is done with Tamiya acrylics, and weathering is done with lots of oils and chipping with Vallejo acrylics. Here's a pic, will post some more soon! Cheers, Rob.
