Hi all. I have some breaking news for our annual Baycon show in November. I have committed myself to taking over what was formerly known as the "aircraft" challenge. One of the caveats of my assuming this sponsorship is that, it is still a challenge to anyone attending to compete against me in the subject announced after last year's show, but it won't necessarily be an "aircraft." As you know I build in many genres, so I will decide which subject and from what genre the challenge will be from. (Armor will not be included bc of an already established "armor" challenge although I could have say an "armor and figure" or "armor with base" challenge). This year it will be the Mig-25 and later variant in any scale. Of course, if you have been following my Mig-29 build recently you will see what you are up against. So break out or purchase your qualifying Mig if you are planning on attending this years show. Hope to see you all there in November. Keep in mind, next year could be a car, ship, diorama, figure, or other non-armor only challenge so stay tuned.

Personally, I dig the aircraft challenges, but that's just me!
So MiG-25 or later... meaning a 25, 27, 29, 31, 33, or 35? No Sukhois?

Interesting! Looking forward to the show when it comes around. Similar to what Dupes asked and adding to the question...PLA J-11B? I ask because I found myself working on one...not that it will be in any sort of contention against yours or anyone else's...LOL

Apparently I am just ignorant in the wingy world to finally realize it is modeled after the Sukhoi Su-27. So I guess the question is answered! Thanks Gil!

I regret to say that I wasn't able to attend yesterday's Baycon since I had a previously scheduled cruise I was returning from on that date. I did however elicit the help of one of my Club members to bring my models to the event. I don't know yet how well the turn out was for this challenge but I was notified that my Mig won out. Congrats and thanks to all who participated. I will shortly announce the challenge subject for next year. Stay tuned.

After debating with myself about next year's challenge I have decided keep it in the aircraft genre and to go with the Messerschmidt Bf-110 in any scale. Since I had this build "in progress" I decided it was most appropriate. So get out your Zerstorers and get building.

The 110? I can make that happen.
