I'm not sure if this belongs here. It never flew, and it's really a spacecraft.
But I could not find a better place to put it.
This is a 27 year old CollectAire resin/metal kit that I finally built 2 years ago. It's not a bad kit, but the detail is kind of soft.
The shape looks good and it has a full cockpit that is almost completely hidden.
The resin body was almost completely pin hole free, but is very heavy. The soft white metal landing gear do hold it, but just barely.
A simple construction and paint job. I went with gloss black covered with semi-gloss and subtle weathering from reentry.
This has always been a favorite subject of mine and I'm glad to have it on display.
