I wish I could say something about this, but I can't see the pictures
Dierk, perhaps you know about the Afghan war and participation of the USSR in it a little.
The idea of a diorama - a column of the Soviet armored machinery passes by the Soviet post in the mountain pass. At this moment soldiers as it usually happens, on a post live life. Someone plays the guitar, a part of soldiers left the posts and listens to the singer, a part of soldiers talks among themselves - wide Russian soul.
That's a shame Dierk. There are lots of beautiful Russian lady soldiers riding Urals through a mountain pass and some gorgeous Russian tank girls. I am sure you would have enjoyed seeing these so much. Never mind.
This dio sure looks impressive judging by the size of it. I guess it's displayed in some kind of museum. Apart from that, I 'll repeat my moto for designing and building dioramas: Go small and all the little details and effort pays off. Go big and you get tired and bored to work on every detail and cm of the dio , the quality goes away and you end up with repeated patterns ( this is a common error made by the newcomers in hobby ). Just my 2c speaking for dioramas generally.
