Hey there Fellas!!! Oh, here we go again!!!!! It doesn't take very much to just grab a box and run!!! I am still on the "Quick-n-dirty Highway"..... The target: 1/35 Somovente 75/18 M40 from Italeri Cost: $1 USD (RAFFLE WIN) Thought: TO KILL IT!! My reference and sort of my plan: ~~~~This photo is for discussion purposes only~~~~Full steam ahead as of just after dinner last night. I can tall you this is an interesting little kit...but still a bit of a dog. Hope to take this puppy for a little walk! ;D Think this might have a bit of just about everything I can throw at her. Rusting, chipping, cracking, painting, camo, scratch, fading, fire damage, grassy knolls....think the kitchen sink is on the other side too!! The empty hull: Realized after looking at the picture I will have to have things opened up. Which mean I need to scratch a bunch of stuff, front, middle and rear!!! Last night and at morning coffee before work....Fuel tanks, Cooling fans and dressed up the tranny a little. The fans will be barely seen once this is fully installed... Not bad I suppose for a couple hours and some coffee I have some strip stock to throw on with some rivets and most of the engine compartment is set. I need to layout the driver's area as well as the whole naked middle...radio, ammo stowage and anything else that pops into mind!! As always I appreciate the company!!

Your reference pic shows a beautiful wreck T ! All the ingredients are present to make your model a real stunner. Your scratch work makes this kit more than complete I think. You've got my company !

Rob you heard that!!!!! Boots said the Shermie and bench in the same sentence!! LOL!!!No pressure bud! Though I would like to see this one back up!!! Seems that way, with the rusting thing. I do tend to be a bit "all" over the board when it comes to building, just a lot of rusty stuff. Think I am just too chicken to do a clean OOB build!!

Damn T, looks mighty sweet bro.
I have been working on the KV turret for the past 2 hours....scrounged up a T-34 metal barrel after a 1 hour hunt for it and the breach.
Man you'll be painting before me.

Hi ya Rob!! I guess that will teach you to pout everything into the shed!!! Not sure about beating anybody to the paint booth yet. But we will see! Hey JT!!! "There's No Running In Modeling"!! Just getting lucky and things seem to be moving smoothly for the moment. Empty hull...nothing in my way to slow me up. All smoke and mirrors BTW!! Scratched up a compartment wall for the transmission this morning. Glued on some rivets and started an ammo box. Need a radio and some wires and the lower section just might be done with CONstruction...needs DEstruction ;D Still not sure how to knock this out, since I can't see the other side. Thinking she took a hit to the front right (previously posted pic)considerable damage but the track is still on the sprocket. May pop a shell through the side. Time to think!!!

T, it can only be on the other side, or maybe the very front where it got hit, by looking at the pic.

Will look terrific when finished, quite sure of that!

Points taken Rob & Chris! See below for starters! Thanks Ian. I fully agree with the talent here, you included my friend!! I can honestly say it is amazing the individuals and skill brought together in one place!! Myself, just trying to stay in the game most days!! Thank you Wouts!! If I could scratch as clean as you build though.... Might be some trouble then ;D My little Sunday update: Hope you like pics... Added more rivets and some details to the engine compartment Slapped together an ammo cab, working on a radio right now... Added a firewall to the tranny compartment... Rear deck doors, hinges kind of started.... And the beginning to some damage... Back to the radio work soon and playing around with those hinges. Thanks for having a LQQY!!! ;D

Thanks Chris! Told ya, you spend too much time by yourself just staring a little tiny white pieces and you loose touch with reality a bit.......I like it though!!
