Hi everyone, I started a new project after some hard work to that of Japanese pilots. A very good resin figurine, excellent cast and details, I choose some references from the "Kingdom of heaven" movie, but I have my vision about it. For me, it will be a new challenge, to work on blue tones. The face is a good chalenge, the beard too. For the last element, I might try this: volomir.com/en/bust-painting-tutorial-garfio-spira-mirabilis/ All in acryllics Scale 75, Vallejo and Jo Sonja, Winsor & Newon brushes (0, 1 and 2). The process until now: I started , as usually, with black primer from Vallejo. Two of them, the traditional 73602, for the textiles and the new 77 960 Gloss Black from Vallejo, which I recommend for metallics, especially mailcoat. After that, I worked with a dedicated set for blue tones from Scale 75 (actually I used three colors in the set, Cantabric, Mediteranean şi Sky Blue, base Cantabric + Mediteranean, shadows, this mix with more Cantabric and a drop of Black, lights with Sky Blue), the mantle with a mixture of black and 72 748 Sombre Gray from Vallejo, to which I added a Arctic Blue (Scale 75) for the lights. For the pattern, the gold band was made with Old Gold and Yellow Desert 72 763(Vallejo), the interior part of the shield with the same Desert Yellow (Vallejo) and Titanium White (Jo Sonja). For the mailcoat, I applied Black Metal then a diluted wash with Black Ink (Vallejo). I keep working mixing Black and Heavy Metal (Scale 75) and adding for extreme lights some Speed Metal (Scale 75). Your commentaries are welcome! Nic

Hi everyone, A short update to this project, I have some new ideas to try on the beard, here some fine tutorial: volomir.com/bust-painting-tutorial-garfio-spira-mirabilis/Until now, same colours used for the fleshtones at my Anglo-Norman baron project. More Mahogany Brown (Vallejo) for the beard. Cheers, Nicolae
