So I have been spending most of my building time messing around with these kits lately, a little diversion from armor.... Don't show me boxes...let's see some builds!!! Ask and ye shall receive! Unfortunately there really isnt much to building these, and they are only in the primed stage. I am kind of holding off because I have decided to give lighting them a try! I have 300 3mm LEDs, wire, resistors, and battery boxes coming today and instead of getting ahead of myself with some of the newer kits, I intend to take it slow and do my best to get some cool lighting effects out of these. First up are the three Mecha sized (tiny) kits. Earth defense forces patrol ship, cruiser, and Gamilon ship  IMG_5012 by Brian Messier, on Flickr  IMG_5014 by Brian Messier, on Flickr  IMG_5015 by Brian Messier, on Flickr Lastly for now is the EDFs Dreadnought battle ships. These were the main ships of the Earth Defense Forces Fleet in the battle of Saturn, during the Comet Empires run to defeat earth. I am still in negotiations with myself on the colors I intend to use and how much weathering if any I want to do. I really want to add some more lighting to these and the future kits, but learning how to power, install, and get LEDs to flash and stutter is going to be a fairly complex thing ( for me). |
