Been some time since posting (multiple personal reasons) I have actually build a Kit just for me. I quit posting my commercial kit designs as I just don't feel right posting for profit kits on a free board. So I thought I would share this with those of you that are not on Facebook. This was "Mullti-Mount" Crane used mostly by the Luftwaffe for recovery and repair operations of downed Aircraft. Most of these were actually mounted on the Smaller Opel Blitz and other 300 series Trucks and that's what I started with but I just couldn't get excited with the Tamiya or Old Italeri and I swore to myself I would actually use a Kit from the Stash. I had a few of the ZV Kits and was hesitant due to less then exciting results from previous ZV Kits, But after I started I do have to say this Kit was Joy to put together and can't recommend it enough except the Tires.. They are a turd and need replaced, I used some DEF weighted tires on the front and a mix of tires on the rear as I wanted the late war look where they mount anything that would fit. Since this will be lifting a Eduard "Brassin" FW190 Engine I wanted a weighted look so I ended up slamming the rear 4mm and lifting the front the same to give it a Slightly over exaggerated reverse rake. (Artistic License) Was starting to assemble the standard steel cab but was looking at the crane and it was so Ugly that it needed a butt ugly cab so I grabbed the wooden cab version. (Same kit just a added sprue for the cab) The crane is a combination of 3D printed and scratch built. There are no know examples or drawings of this crane that I could find so it was just all drawn by perspective/Averaging and a lot of Guessing Thanks to Todd for some painting tips. I was starting to loose the paint job and was just getting to flat. Still working on the paint and need to make a few more parts, run the rigging and finish building the 190 motor, But I thought you might like to see something a little different.

Great to see you back! I generally try to avoid using the 'a' word, as it often gets bandied about in inappropriate circumstances - but I have to agree with PJ: it truly is AWESOME!!! As for posting builds for profit: I don't know about the others, but I for one don't have a problem with it due to the superb quality of your work.

Very cool! I'm with Dierk, no issues with me when it comes to seeing your work regardless of the funding/motive behind it. Good modeling is good modeling!

Is it use of the "a" word when I say "absolutely stunning"? Until now I didn't know such a crane existed and your conversion into a model is even better!

Nice to see you back, BJ. Great work on the truck and crane.
I'm with Bill and Dierk, if you build it, the reason why doesn't matter. It's all about the models.

Some seriously good craftsmanship here. Based on the photos, it looks like you’ve nailed the proportions.
