Hey all, It has been a while since I started a thread about anything, but wanted to take a minute to thank the Granite State Modelers for an excellent show today. While their motto may be "We Don't Nitpick", what they do is put on a really great show. It was a really fun day, nice to see a few folks I haven't seen for a while. And, my son Zach, had a blast. I cannot thank all of you who showed little acts of kindness towards that kid. He was FIRED up when we got home, and went right to his room to tear into one of the kits he got today! As for me, well, when I got home I realized that I had not competed in a show since 2013!  Today, I entered 5 categories and placed in 3. Overall, I am pleased:    This is also my first attempt to try my new imgur account... thanks a lot photobucket! So, I hope other folks who had a good day at GraniteCon will post some pictures of their accolades, or other pics from the show! It was a really good time! |

Congrats on the gongs Boyd! Great seeing you and Zack...and Dupes I suppose, at the show yesterday! It seemed to be a pretty good turn out over the last one I attended...well, except for the no food at the venue part that is! LOL Still trying to figure that one out.  Still, a good day all around! |

Of course, that show (of late) tends to be weather-dependent for me...got snowed out a couple of years in a row, and it's even later this time around. LOL....I can imagine if you do make it, do they have enough plaques for you? Probably not! Good luck on hot having too much early snow on your part! Last year, I think I wore shorts...but there have been squalws before too! Big weather gamble in November! |

How is Imgur not agreeing with you Dupes? Fairly straightforward with copying the link and paste I thought. Imgur might be fine - haven't tried it. I started a Wordpress page, but that's waaaaay more trouble than it's worth (for someone who isn't really planning on starting a blog). |

If starting a blog is what you want to do, go for it! I would leave the page unpublished if you can and just right click the pics and 'copy image location'. Watch you uploading sizes. I keep mine at 800x600 for the most part...you should never run out of space that way. Or at least for 10 years...LOL Give Imgur a shot anyway. Even with some BS pics or something and get the feel for it. Less BS than the PB site and no 40 million popups. A little weird getting used to the uploading to the folder you want, but once you figure out you should be fine.

I'm finishing my 1/72 Tiger. 2. I've been building, just not competing. 3. So far imgur seems fine. I did have to resize all my pics (they were, like, 1600x3200 when I uploaded them). Resizing is easy though. |
